Description
Director of Operations, Planning and Business Development
Qualifications: MBA or MHA with a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership.
This position is to lead the surgical services and create a model for all of the systems operating rooms. Director will provide overall strategic leadership for the multi-campus system and operation leadership for the largest hospital in this system. This position will be identified within the organization as "The Executive Director of Surgical Services". This role will determine optimal services to be offered by site, based upon fillers of competency, strategic fit, market/profit, demographics and cost structure. Working collaboratively with physician and administrative leadership, the Director will establish and implement the overall framework for growth of surgical services based upon the creation of superior value propositions for patients, physicians and staff.
The Director establishes conditions within the department that are conducive to achieving clinical and service excellence, continually raising the bar on patient satisfaction, medical and clinical outcomes, cost-effectiveness and worker satisfaction. Patients must not only receive top quality health care, but must be “wowed" by their experience. Physicians must be “wowed" by the receptiveness of the organization to new ideas, innovations and overall excellence.
The Director is accountable for Surgical Services operational results, including financial outcomes, team efficiency and effectiveness measures.
The Director is aware of the “big picture" within the system. They will establish collaborative relationships with key medical staff and other departments within the community to benefit the overall organization.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree preferably in Business or Health Care Administration. Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience.
