Site Engineer, Data Center experience, racking, stacking server

Description Responsible for the engineering planning, design, implementation, and operation of Unix and Windows Midrange computing platforms for n-Tier application architectures. Responsibilities include research and development of new technology and engineering best practices, as well as the implementation of complex and comprehensive solutions for enterprise and Line of Business applications.

Requirements Note that this is not a Systems Admin position. This is a Data Center Site Engineer position who will be in a supporting role to the Systems Admin.
 
The Site Engineer will act as a technical member of the TS Ti Salt lake City Site engineering team.

This is a Windows position that requires prior experience with Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.

Vmware 3.x experience though not required is a major plus.

Duties include racking and stacking of server equipment, SAN equipment, Networking equipment, running Patch cables, providing server infrastructure production support to level to the Systems Administrators,

Perform Production Readiness Reviews on Windows Operating systems and on-call support as needed. In addition they will assist the Windows Implementation Engineering team in validating the windows operating system and ensuring that the server is in a supportable state. Windows server support and management duties will include a combination of systems administration, monitoring and management, process automation, support of server remediation initiatives, support of transition projects and troubleshooting/problem resolution.



Site Engineers will work in multiple shifts thus ensuring 24/7 coverage of the Woodland Towers and the Consonus Data Centers.

THIS POSITION IS FOR THE FOLLOWING SHIFT. Mon-Wed 9AM-9PM, Thur: 9AM-3PM. Shifts are subject to change on short notice.
