Description A thriving, public company in Dunwoody, GA is seeking a strong Director of SEC Reporting for their corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities

Supervise SEC reporting compliance for the organization, including reviewing/managing filings of 10Qs, 10Ks, 8Ks, and other filings as applicable.
Supervise and review the processes related to monthly, quarterly, and year end closing of the books, technical accounting issues and internal reporting for the organization.
Oversee GAAP accounting for the company. Identify and supervise the implementation of new accounting guidance on a timely, proactive approach.
Assist in the design and review of all board meeting and board committee meeting materials.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Ensure proper internal controls, policies, and procedures, as well as appropriate documentation and development of risk management plan to minimize risk of errors and irregularities.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting/Finance
Masters degree preferred
CPA required
Recent SEC Reporting experience required
Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
10+ years experience in accounting/finance/reporting
Supervisory experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
