Senior Accountant

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare monthly financial reports and financial narrative for Vice President Finance & Operations/Finance Committee including Foundation Corporation.

• Facilitate development of annual agency budget and United Way budget.  Work closely with each department on individual budget.

• Administrate grant reporting and billing

• Generation of cost report for state/government entities as needed.

• Coordinate annual audit.

• Insure conformance with generally accepted accounting principles and meet all legal financial requirements and fiscal policies.

• Review reconciled bank statements monthly.

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable.

This is a fulltime position requiring minimum of 40 hours per week; flexibility is essential.

Minimum of an undergraduate degree in accounting and three years of related experience which has provided familiarity with standard accounting procedures.  Experience with federal/state funding, investments, licensure and compliance required.  CPA preferred.  Excellent computer skills, organizational and communication skills, budgetary and fund accounting experience required.  Must be able to work flexible hours, possess reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
