Description

Senior level analyst responsible for:
- processing import and export letter of credit, documentary collection, clean bankers acceptance, discounted draft, and other trade-related transactions
- processing standby letter of credit transactions

Requires expertise in trade transaction processing, particularly import, and may require specialization in import or export transactions

Contribute to establishing and implementing effective procedures, controls, and processes relating to trade transactions

Contribute to establishing and implementing effective procedures, controls, and processes relating to general ledger reconcilements in order to maximize efficiencies and to ensure compliance with audit standards

Work cooperatively with SovereignÂżs processing vendor (Bank of New York Mellon)

Monitor, identify, and evaluate client needs and opportunities

Provide service and technical support to customers and prospects, Relationship Managers, and the retail client base

Support the Trade Banking sales team through joint customer calls

Requirements

College degree preferred.

Bachelors' degree in MIS or Business, a plus.

High School diploma and appropriate Technical School certificate may be considered with significant related experience.

10-15 years International banking experience required

Experience with financial reporting and analysis.

Minimum experience of at least 3-5 years in banking or in a directly related field within the financial services industry.

Advanced proficiency with Access and Excel databases.

Strong analytical, problem solving with the ability to focus on accuracy, detail orientation, and presentation

Good organizational skills and ability to manage projects

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will be self-directed.
