Loan Officer

Description The Consumer Loan/Financial Services Officer is responsible for interacting and building relationships with members in person, by phone or by mail.    They assist members in determining their financial needs and help match needs with Credit Union products and services.  Is the primary contact to perform transactional work such as opening new accounts.   Will interview, evaluate and underwrite loan applications for all types of consumer and home equity loans.  Will be required to cross-sell a full range of credit union products and services.    The Loan/Financial Services Officer must become familiar with and follow all MMCCU policies and procedures as well as all applicable State and Federal Regulatory requirements.

Requirements A MINIMUM OF THREE YEARS LOAN EXPERIENCE IN A BANK OR CREDIT UNION IS REQUIRED.  A two-year degree in Business or Finance is appreciated but not required.   Work involves contact with the public, necessitating the ability to present a professional image, communicate effectively and establish positive relationships.   Must have knowledge of credit union products and services as well as the ability to cross-sell these products and services.  Candidate must possess proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office products.  Work involves frequent problem solving, so candidate must be capable  of analyzing information as well as gathering facts and making decisions.  Work requires excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and be flexible to the needs of the office.  Candidates must possess knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to the financial services industry.  May occasionally be required to stand and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
