FPGA Design Engineer

We seek FPGA Design Engineers to join our team of highly skilled engineers who work together to create the world's most advanced imaging products, including computed tomography (CT), X-ray, and Ultrasound. This position will be responsible for:

• Being involved in determining the system level architecture of products using FPGAs
• Creating design specifications, chip level architecture, FPGA design and test, including all phases, code, simulation, synthesis, PAR, debug and system test
• Mentoring junior engineers
• Providing some project leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and at least 8 years of related experience
• Knowledge and work experience with: VHDL, Verilog HDL, synthesis and timing analyses, simulation and verification, RTL design, Xilinx, high speed link protocols, system level functional chip architecture, SERDES, LVDS, encoders, decoders, system test and debug
• Solid communication skills, strong problem solving abilities and the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Highly desirable: experience with System Verilog, System C, ASIC design, creating design specifications, DSP functions and on-chip implementation, DDR memory interfaces, and messaging protocols
