Clinical Manager Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Manager of the Nursing Department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated Nursing Director.

Requirements for Clinical Manager:

Education & Training:

  • Bachelors degree in nursing or actively pursuing to be completed in two years post hire.
  • Masters Degree in a Nursing Specialty or Nursing Administration strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably an academic medical center.  At least 1-2 years management experience. 
  • Prefer experience managing outpatient procedural area - knowledgeable of CCL procedures, regulatory requirements inherent to a procedural setting or direct procedural skills.


License & Certification:

  • RN required with clinical certification in a specialty area preferred.
  • ACLS required within first year.
