Job Purpose
Rexam Healthcare in Franklin, IN is seeking a dynamic, ambitious and innovative Program Manager who will provide successful new product introduction through effective utilization of communication, project coordination and people management skills. This position also utilizes technical experience to validate product tooling and automation design approach as well as maintains strong interaction with manufacturing environment to support products and equipment design modifications on existing business.
Responsibilities
In this critical role, the Program/Project Manager creates and executes project work plans and revises them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements as well as directs Program/Project Team as the main point of contact for suppliers and customers by maintaining cohesion within the team to drive members to consensus and accountability. The incumbent manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, identifies resources needed, assigns individual responsibilities and reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client. Manages project budget, analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project. Holds regular status meetings with project team and communicates relevant project information to management. Provides technical knowledge to Customer in support of Sales. Leads cross functional teams in the development and introduction of new programs into the lean manufacturing environment. Estimates or revises costs on existing or new molding/assembly programs and directs modifications and changes to existing molds from customer revisions. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and along with the Design Department, assists customers in part design where molding criteria is affected.
Requirements
Knowledge, skills and experience
The successful applicant will be a business professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with at least 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment specifically in an FDA monitored industry, a demonstrated success in a Project Management role – ability to ‘roll up ones sleeves’ and get things done, well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to motivates project team to work together in the most efficient manner by managing the process of innovative change effectively as well as mitigating team conflict and communication problems.
This position continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction by developing/building lasting client relationships through building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives, demonstrated PC Skills, i.e. MS Project, Outlook, MS Office, Design Viewers, etc., knowledge on injection molding basics, tooling, materials, processing, etc., as well as an understanding of Lean and 6 Sigma principles.
