Consolidated Safety Services, Inc. has an opening for a Development Task Lead at a prestigious federal facility in Silver Spring, MD. The lead will work closely with the Government technical manager and developers to produce highly visible and important initiatives for delivery in a web-based Oracle environment.

Primary duties:
Project planning, scheduling and execution of multiple technical projects developed using Oracle and Java technologies
Management of local development team
Interaction with multiple local and nationwide management and data resources
Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performing functional testing
Lead development efforts and perform development work during critical deadline periods
Planning and organizing tasks, reporting progress, managing implementations
Required skills and demonstrated experience include:
Must be proficient in the following technologies:
o Oracle
o PL/SQL
o Java / J2EE
Must understand and have experience leading development through an entire project / programming lifecycle
Must be able to confidently lead a team of developers
Must be a hands-on programmer to support other developers by “jumping-in" to program on tasks that require additional resources to maintain scheduled delivery dates
Must be able to review code of other developers to ensure quality high quality deliverables
Must be experienced working on Government contracts
Desired skills include:
Business analysis / ability to gather relevant information, define requirements, and establish development plans
Assist technical writer in documentation of existing systems and new development efforts
Proficiency in the following technologies is a strong plus:
o HTML / JavaScript / DHTML
o SQL
o Oracle Discoverer
