The Charge Poster will enter case information including demographic, insurance, procedure description and charge information into company billing system. This position will also assist in verification of patient insurance eligibility information and processing of claims.
Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Entering alpha and numeric data into billing system
- Daily claims processing and troubleshooting issues that arise which are related to billing.
Requirements
The successful candidate:
- Will have a High School Diploma
- At least two (2) years of data entry experience in a health care setting
- An Associate Degree or College Degree, as well as billing and insurance certifications are preferred, but not required.
- The person in this position must have knowledge and understanding of CPT and ICD-9 codes, paper and electronic health care claims, as well as some knowledge of health insurance eligibility requirements.
- The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel is also a requirement for this position.
