Description
The Herald Times Reporter, a Gannett daily in Manitowoc, Wis., seeks a versatile reporter to help fulfill our commitment to excellence in local coverage in print and online.
Coverage will focus on county government, environment and agribusiness. The successful candidate will write for the front page from day one.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required. Recent grads with campus newsroom experience supported by strong clips and internships will be considered. Mastery of AP style is essential.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to develop sources and break news and will have a working familiarity with digital audio and video devices. You should be able to think visually and to work with our photo staff to develop strong presentation options.
The HTR was one of three dailies honored this year for General Excellence in our circulation category (up to 25,000) by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.
Manitowoc is situated on the shore of Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Green Bay.
