Senior Cost Accountant will handle all areas related to cost accounting for newly created US manufacturing site.  In addition assist in managing various projects involving system improvements.  Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, show initiative and possess great communication skills and analytical ability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a minimum BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Economics and 7 to 9 years of experience in financial/cost analysis, general accounting or management accounting. Strong analytical capabilities and experience in cost accounting required. Excellent organization and communication skills required.  CMA certification highly desirable.  Oracle experience required. 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Requires ability to perform advanced spreadsheet modeling and maintenance in Microsoft Excel.  Requires excellent understanding and use of Microsoft Word, Access and PowerPoint.  Requires strong problem solving skills and ability to learn system data-mining processes quickly.  Oracle ERP experience required.  Discoverer or other business intelligence system experience highly preferred, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
