Description
Mass. Electric Construction Co. is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation and part of Kiewit’s Eastern District. With offices located in New York City, we are uniquely qualified to provide the highest standards of electrical construction for any size project. We provide design-build, budgeting, value engineering and maintenance services for a wide array of commercial/industrial customers.
This is an on-site Management position that has responsibility for the commercial, safety, quality, administrative, and technical performance aspects of managing a project. In general, duties include but are not limited to: creating and maintaining relationships with Owners/Architects/Subs; full knowledge of plans and specifications in order to ensure compliance with contract requirements; participates in original job planning and scheduling and updates job schedule as necessary; preparation and negotiation of all material and subcontracts as well as documentation and execution of such contracts to ensure cost efficiency, etc.; management of all payment applications; preparation and management of job cost control budget as well as developing all job quantities. The Project Manager is the individual primarily responsible for ensuring that company policies and procedures are implemented in the execution of all assigned projects.
Requirements
Required
Undergraduate degree in an Engineering Discipline or Construction Management, successful commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Should have a minimum of 8 years experience in the public works or heavy construction
Managing multiple sub-contractors simultaneously
MS Office Suite proficient, with specific expertise in the use of Excel
Familiar with Commercially available project scheduling software
Experience in scheduling, Experience in estimating take offs, Construction/Engineering Experience on complex public works, power or process plants
Desired:
