Job Duties and Responsibilities

Satellite TV Installation Trainers develop, plan, coordinate, and deliver training and development programs designed to meet organizational needs for staff level employees.  He/She is accountable for the progression of the staff in meeting and exceeding customer expectations and workmanship.

  • Participates in needs analyses studies to assist Training Managers on the training needs within organization
  • Partners with management to identify specific work situations and skills requiring employee improvement, such as, better understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, technologies and human relations
  • Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual education, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops
  • Selects teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and resource materials
  • Executes testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of courses
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, and leadership development
  • Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of education program(s)
  • Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods
  • Revises design of training curriculum and methods to improvement effectiveness
  • Travel is required
Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or two year of related experience; and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff
  • Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
  • A background check and drug test will be preformed as part of pre-employment

 

Additional Information

Travel is required and possession of a valid personal credit card for reimbursement purposes is necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • May occasionally be required to lift up to 125 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working in small spaces and/or various heights
  • This position works in/near outdoor weather conditions.
  • Employees must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and will be required to climb ladders in a safe manner
  • Employees, including any tools or equipment that are carried, must be able to remain within the weight requirements of 350-pounds
