Description
Quiet plastic surgeon’s office in Boca Raton, Florida with mature clientele seeks a medical receptionist.
Essential functions:
Answers telephones, screens callers, relays messages, and greets patients / visitors.
Schedules appointments
Knowledgeable in establishing, maintaining, rescheduling, and tracking follow-up appointments
Provides support to clinical staff
Types routine correspondence and reports from dictation
Organizes patient medical records / charts.
Reviews medical records for accuracy and completeness
Responsible for filing and retrieving medical records
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field
Works under immediate supervision and reports to the practicing physician

Requirements
Qualifications:
-
Must have previous experience in dermatology or plastic surgery practice
- 2 year college degree

Strong computer skills (including word processing, e-mail, and internet applications); training in Nextech preferred
- Types 40-60 words per minute
- Three years experience in direct customer service
- Experience in scheduling appointments
- Bilingual; English/ Spanish preferred
