Description Quiet plastic surgeon’s office in Boca Raton, Florida with mature clientele seeks a medical receptionist.

Essential functions:
  • Answers telephones, screens callers, relays messages, and greets patients / visitors.
  • Schedules appointments
  • Knowledgeable in establishing, maintaining, rescheduling, and tracking follow-up appointments
  • Provides support to clinical staff
  • Types routine correspondence and reports from dictation
  • Organizes patient medical records / charts.
  • Reviews medical records for accuracy and completeness
  • Responsible for filing and retrieving medical records
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field
  • Works under immediate supervision and reports to the practicing physician

  • Requirements
    Qualifications:
    - Must have previous experience in dermatology or plastic surgery practice
    - 2 year college degree
    - Strong computer skills (including word processing, e-mail, and internet applications); training in Nextech preferred
    - Types 40-60 words per minute
    - Three years experience in direct customer service
    - Experience in scheduling appointments
    - Bilingual; English/ Spanish preferred

    - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
    - Strong written and verbal communication skills with clear speaking voice
