Imagine an agency in our community who was the forerunner of the United Way and the Department of Public Welfare, as well as the first member of the American Red Cross. Today, this agency is known as Family Service. In 1879 it began as the Associated Charities.

Since 1879, more than one million people have come to Family Service for help. Throughout its history, the focus of Family Service has been strengthening families and valuing the importance of self-respect and self- sufficiency for each client served.

During its 130-year history, Family Service has offered counseling and assistance to a variety of underserved groups, from outreach to the needy and the rescue of tenement dwellers during the 1894 flood, to a comprehensive array of modern social services which help improve the quality of life of individuals and families.

About the Therapist position:

• There are (2) fee for service opportunities providing direct clinical services to clients at our McFarland and Amelia locations. 
• Attend unit meetings and case staffing.
• Proficient at medical records documentation. 
• Each opportunity is approximately 24 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:
Masters Degree -  Licensed Social Worker
