Working independently, you will review the facts of medical claims, the relevant patient record, and the contractual obligations of the medical insurance firm. You will determine if the facts warrant a reversal of the original decision to deny the claim and you will justify your reasoning based on the facts of the case and the insurance contract. Working as our employee, you will receive the majority of a single health plan as a paid benefit, six holidays, five personal days, two weeks vacation and more!
You will work with some fantastic professionals because this team is a fun, supportive group to work with and there's great leadership. You must be flexible, a good communicator, very reliable and professional. Your experience with acute, long term care or home care will be an important key to your success. Nurses with knowledge of medical insurance, private doctor's office experience and Medicare knowledge will find their experience helpful to learning this role. Typing is required, and good computer skills- you will be writing, researching, reading and typing most of the day.
