Medical Office Financial Manager with Coding Experience Needed

21st Century Oncology is a leading developer and operator of radiation therapy centers, medical oncology, and multi-specialty practices throughout the US.  Our centers, which are freestanding and hospital based, provide a full spectrum of radiation therapy services and medical oncology treatment to cancer patients, and multi specialty care to patients in the areas of Urology, Gynecology and medical specialties.  We are growing and need highly qualified candidates to join our team.

We are currently searching for a Medical Office Financial Manager for our Sarasota, Florida office.  This position is responsible for charge capture and coding (CPT and ICD-9), front end demographic capture, insurance verification, obtain authorizations and referrals, patient financial counseling, chart compliance and auditing and collections support.  The Medical Office Financial Manager also meets with patients to explain cost of treatment, insurance coverage, patient financial responsibility and payment options.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of medical coding experience.  Previous experience in a healthcare setting is required.  Medical Manager software experience is highly preferred.  CPC certification is also highly desired, though not required.    This individual will also need to be able to communicate effectively with patients to explain cost of treatment, decipher insurance coverage, and options available.
