Description Responsibilities include performing civil engineering functions while working with other engineers and technicians on projects involving the study and design of stormwater facilities as well as water and sanitary sewer projects.   Work might include preparing reports and producing drawings and specifications related to flood studies, stormwater facilities design, underground utilities, sediment control, water quality, and surface water hydrology and hydraulics. The work may include planning/conducting site surveys, data analysis and evaluation, development of design calculations, and preparation of specifications and drawings suitable for bid and construction.   In-depth knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and water quality modeling on programs such as SWMM, TR-55, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS is desired.  At minimum a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.  The candidate must be a registered PE or registered EIT prepared to obtain their PE registration within 1 year of hire and have 3 to 8 years civil engineering design experience.
