8:30-5:00 pm shift and 11:30-8:00 pm shift
Orthomerica has immediate openings for highly motivated and experienced senior and junior technicians to join our growing, state-of-the-art custom fabrication department in our exciting company's manufacturing, R&D and major distribution center located in Orlando, FL. These positions will report directly to Orthomerica's Custom Fabrication Manager (Certified Orthotist).
Candidates should be self-motivated, self-starters who work well within a team environment. Must posses at least 3 years experience in manufacturing and thermoforming of both adult and pediatric orthoses, with a good understanding of plaster techniques, metal bending and orthotic component assembly. As a key member of our Custom Fabrication Department, he/she will be responsible for daily production and possible supervision for a specific product line.
1. Perform all duties in accordance with FDA, Regulatory and Quality procedures.
2. Prepare, fill and modify casts to proper configuration using plaster of Paris and shaping tools as assigned by Manager.
3. Document & inform Supervisor if questions arise for customer during fabrication.
4. Work closely with Final Inspector to ensure 4:30 grounds and 7:30 standard shipments are being processed in a timely fashion.
5. Log in/out work orders in accordance with the order tracker system.
6. Familiar with blood borne pathogens protection procedures.
7. Maintains a clean and safe work environment outlined by company/safety policies.
8. Ability to read, write and understand English language
