Description The Process Engineer will be the primary technical resource for all food processing systems.  Will identify, lead, develop and execute solutions for quality, performance and overuse improvements on processing systems.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate technical and business expertise on systems/products/technologies
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills through the use of continuous improvement tools.  Understand the interaction between machine, methods, environment and people to provide strong operating systems
  • Develop and maintain material balances and unit operation capability information to ensure optimal production rates, parameters and formulas
  • Provide key technical support on capital projects and R&D testing/startups
  • Conduct capacity studies, enhance system reliability and identify/implement productivity improvements, including new technologies.  Develop/maintain strategic technical improvement plans for systems
  • Serve as a technical liaison for all levels including production/maintenance, plant technical and management resources, corporate engineering and R&D organization and other plants
  • Develop/deliver technical training for various levels of the organization and serve as a divisional resource in cross functional teams.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineer (Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical)
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering in a food manufacturing/consumer product facility
  • Recognized technical capability, mechanical aptitude, process measurement and control experience
  • Identify and implement technologies and keep technologies current
  • Participate in plant programs such as Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, RCM, and others
  • Coordinate equipment improvement efforts with maintenance, engineering, and operations
  • Experience conducting capacity studies and supporting capital projects
