We are actively seeking a Rich Media Programmer in our Arcadia, WI facility. This position plays an integral role in Ashley Furniture Industries future success in meeting our customers’ needs and our continued growth.

Job Description

The Rich Media Programmer will closely collaborate with visual designers, front-end developers, and business stakeholders on concept and creation of a wide range of projects including data-driven websites, rich Internet applications, online banner ads and rich media, and micro-sites for a wide variety audiences.
Responsible for conducting and analyzing research, gathering business requirements, and identifying technology constraints in order to creatively envision, evaluate, and design successful user experiences for company internets, extranets and intranets.
Make informed recommendations on design strategies, leveraging best practices, accurately estimating and tracking time across multiple simultaneous projects, as well as working with the Web Strategy team to develop and document methodologies, standards and best practices for the group.

Requirements Listed below are the job requirements for this position:

Advanced level understanding of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and AJAX with direct experience optimizing design concepts around these technologies.
Excellent programming skills with a very strong sense of good motion design and a thorough understanding of integrating with a variety of back-end technologies and external data-sources.
Skill developing storyboards for rich media applications which provide intuitive user experience
Ability to create Flash based Rich Media Internet Applications using the Adobe suite of products on multiple platforms including mobile and PC.
Strong understanding of latest Flash features such as filters, blend modes, FlashType, bitmap caching, advanced gradient control etc
