The Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) of Student Achievement will design, implement and administer a program for evaluation, which will include protocols for test evaluation, specific evaluation instruments, methods used to process evaluation instruments, processing of evaluation data, and the publication and interpretation of evaluation results. In addition, the AVC will provide leadership in the development of evaluation plans for each course within the curriculum which must include an analysis of course, certificate, and degree completion. The AVC will use modern statistical and analytical methods to assess the reliability and validity of various evaluations. The Assistant Vice Chancellor also provides leadership for the Student Achievement Center that will provide the infrastructure to advance and support academic achievement including: academic advising, course completion, degree success, persistence rates, course and instructor effectiveness and success, and student engagement. Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications  Master's Degree in Higher Education or related field required. Minimum five years of experience in Higher Education with increased responsibility. Familiarity with effective student achievement practices and assessment-based strategies. A strong background in statistics and psychometric assessment. Experience in program evaluation, and an institutional work perspective and ability to work cooperatively with others. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree. Experience with mixed methods and qualitative research.
