Description
Responsibilities:
-Respond to problem calls in support of new technology
-Work with callers using various software tools to gather information and troubleshoot causes
-Use technical background and experience to troubleshoot problems
-Use on-line knowledge databases / software tools to determine the solutions of problems
-Record troubleshooting progress and resolution into automated databases
Requirements
Required Skills:
-Strong Customer Service Skills
-Good analytical /technical problem solving skills
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Able to follow written instructions to troubleshoot and correct common Windows services and processes.
-Knowledge of and experience with Windows XP processes, architecture, and services.
-Knowledge of and experience with Windows workstations and peripheral hardware connectivity:
-Basic knowledge of facts and details about simple Windows networks
*Familiar with basic networking terminology such as "LAN", and IP address
*Able to navigate comfortably between workstations on a simple Windows network
*Able to follow written instructions to move filed between workstations on a simple Windows network
*Able to follow instructions to troubleshoot and correct common problems with simple Windows networks
-Moderate knowledge with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Internet Explorer
-Able to write detailed descriptions of actions taken
-Comfortable with learning and using new software applications and taking online application training
-Comfortable with researching automated databases and online documents for solutions to problems
-Comfortable with adapting to frequently changing procedures
