Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

Apply basic and advanced technical skills and knowledge to review, and track all controlled documents to include engineering drawings, standard operating procedures, process specifications, and test documents. Insure latest revision documentation is available to all Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Production Departments to support approved Operations Plan.

TECHNICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                

 

1.    Works to track changes and maintain revision control for technical documents. 

2.    Responsible for organizing, recording, storing and retrieving documents and maintaining several record systems. 

3.    Keeps updated records and produces reports for documents during the change process.    

4.    Organizes and maintains files to sustain security and retrieval in a systematic fashion.

5.    Set up Bill of Materials (BOM) and routers in system as needed under direction from design and manufacturing engineering.

6.    Performs basic maintenance of routings and work instructions.

7.    Ensure systems and processes are in line with documented ISO procedures.

 

AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.    Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignment in job classifications other than the primary assignment.

2.    Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be and essential function of all employment.

3.    This position will report to the Design Engineering Manager and liaise with all departments related to Operations including Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, Manufacturing Engineering and Accounting,.

4.    Must communicate effectively at all levels, while exhibiting strong interpersonal skills and effective team skills.

5.    This position is accountable for daily activities related to record maintenance.  Accurate documentation, recordkeeping and spreadsheet or database maintenance is paramount to successful daily operations.

6.    This position performs assigned tasks with minimal supervision and is expected to communicate regularly with Manager informing of foreseen variances in schedule.

 

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Two-year degree in business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Two to four years of experience in a similar environment or an equivalent combination of education.

·         Experience performing document control duties preferred.

·         Adobe creation experience desired.

·         AutoCAD or equivalent experience helpful.

·         Two or more years of experience working in an ERP Systems environment.

  • Proficient keyboarding skills (40 WPM accurately).
  • Ability to navigate within a Windows based operating software.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete & implement all OJT and required trainings.

  • Ability to apply job knowledge and skills to improve productivity, quality and timeliness, and to solve problems, using good judgment.
