Telecom Engineer

This position is anything but easy. But the perfect candidate wouldn’t have it any other way.  Responsibilities include:

• Design, development, test and support Nortel solutions that exceed customer needs.

• System administration of Nortel and Nuance software and hardware.

• Monitor and maintain Nortel, Nuance, Unix and Windows systems.

• Coordinate with internal technology teams to insure a secure, robust, scalable production environment that progressively integrated with other corporate information systems.

• 3+ years experience with Nortel and/or Nuance technology.
• 5+ years experience in a telecommunications environment.
• Thorough knowledge of legacy and new telephony network architecture and solutions.
• Unix server installation, monitoring and support experience preferred.
• Telecommunications: ISDN/PRI/T1/DS3/OC-3 circuits and signaling protocol preferred.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting a sophisticated telephony solution required. 
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills required.
