Description

The Applications Developer II (Customer Systems) is an intermediate programming role that is responsible for developing and enhancing IT systems, applications, and databases based on guidance provided by a more senior team member. The Developer II must be able to perform their responsibilities with little supervision.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

Design and develop modules for current systems and applications
Maintain application code, including debugging processes and enhancement requests
Work on system-level solutions
Assist senior team members in design specifications
Monitor, debug, and resolve issues across all environments.
Support application changes across multiple systems
Understanding of the core business function(s) of the company
Mentoring more junior members of the team
Performs other duties as assigned
Assist in general IT activities
Provide after-hours support for systems and applications

Requirements

Requirements:

4+ years of design, development, and programming experience

2+ years experience programming in C# or VB.NET

2+ years experience programming in ASP and/or ASP.NET (preferred)

3+ years experience troubleshooting application, database, and/or networking issues

Experience with object-oriented programming

Experience with one or more of the following: SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL

Experience with web-based applications

Excellent analytical skills

Excellent communication skills

Excellent estimating skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

Additional Preferred Skills:

· Experience with .NET 3.5

· Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Library

Experience with XML/XSL
