Job summary

The Associate Labeling Specialist will review, update and approve corporate labeling designs for Marketing.  Work across functions and communicate with all functional and operating groups on product specifications and labeling related and compliance matters.  Implement and refine a common label approval system across the company.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure nutrition and labeling information are updated and accurate.

•  Answer technical questions for customers and consumers.

• Supply monthly customer complaint reports to plants.

• Drive resolution of outstanding complaint responses.

• Ensure updated/accurate formula information.

• Distribute changes to SOPs, specifications, etc. to team members.

• Support the development and implementation of new specification tool.

• Administrate/manage new specification management tool.

• Archive product development information, notebooks, confidentiality agreements, etc.

• Manage technical interface to internal and external websites.

• Auditing of plant labeling procedures and practices will be conducted to ensure company policies are being followed.

• Update and establish PINC as the AEM specification resource.

Requirements for Associate Labeling Specialist:

• Bachelor of Science degree or related field required with 2 to 5 years of FDA/USDA/FSIS labeling experience or 10+ years direct labeling experience without a degree.
• Individual must have a working knowledge of Micro Soft Windows based applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 
• Individual must be detail-oriented, self-starter, have good communication skills and be self-directed.
• CN experience a plus.
• Genesis R&D and EZ Form software knowledge preferred.
