Do you have safety and environmental management experience, familiarity with OSHA, and a demonstrated track record of improving safety performance? Our client, a leading manufacturer based in western Kentucky, is seeking a results-oriented individual for this key position.
Position Description
The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Develop programs intended to improve safety performance.
- Assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations
- Ensure that all employees adhere to environmental, health and safety standards.
- Form and chair a Facility Safety Committee.
- Ensure that all appropriate documentation is completed and filed
Requirements
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications:
- Scientific or Engineering Degree
- Minimum 3-5 years safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of air emissions and EHS standards
- Familiarity with OSHA
