Description
Full-time position to develop, monitor, and deliver quality health education programs to target populations. Expand community education outreach programs by serving as a liaison between Planned Parenthood and the community.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Health Education preferred, or a combination of education and experience in related field 2-3 years preferred; or training & experience in human sexuality education, STD/HIV prevention, healthcare setting (client contact), peer (teen or young adult) sexuality education, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience facilitating training either individually or to groups, 2 years preferred. Possession of California Family Health Council’s Basic Family Planning Health Worker certification or ability to acquire certification within the first three months of employment. Advanced knowledge of reproductive health issues, birth control methods, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, safer sex practices and communication/negotiation skills. Expertise in the development and implementation of health education curricula. History of effectively working with adolescents and adults.
