Store Manager at The Oaks

Solstice Sunglass Boutiques offer the largest selection of designer sunglasses than any other fashion retailer of specialty store in the United States. At any given time, Solstice Boutiques offer a selection of over 1,000 pairs of sunglasses in an open, readily accessible environment allowing customers to try on styles quickly and easily. We specialize in carrying high fashion sun wear and often the first sunglass store in the U.S. to receive the latest sunglass styles from select, trend-setting brands which are not widely or readily available elsewhere. Some of the designer brands we a carry are Gucci, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, Valentino, Jimmy Choo and many more.

Solstice owns and operates over 140 locations throughout the United States and the Caribbean. We are continuing to grow with plans to open more locations during 2009. We are looking for new talent to join our team and grow within our organization.

As a Store Manager you will be responsible for management and maximizing profitability, and sales of a company owned retail store. Maintaining and representing the company’s core values of service, quality and integrity to create total customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership ability 
  • Participates in store selling efforts to ensure personal and stores sales and productivity goals are met. 
  • Ensure all operational responsibilities are carried out for both opening and closing procedures. 
  • Recruiting interviewing and hiring of staff 
  • Train, delegate and supervise staff to develop and maintain individual selling, customer service and product knowledge skills. 
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the store staff and maintain daily communications binder.
  • Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are upheld through out the entire store. 
    Partner with Human Resources and/or Loss Prevention to address and document unsatisfactory performance and policy violations in a timely matter.

 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Management and analytical skills are essential 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Previous retail experience – any specialty product experience a plus 
  • Computer literate (word, excel and lotus notes) 
  • College Degree preferred 
  • Able to work flexible hours 
  • Demonstrate consistent reliable attendance and punctuality standards 
  • Ability to lift and carry 25lbs.
