Billing Specialist/ AP/AR Assistant

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for timely electronic claims processing, daily payment posting and balancing. Maintains records of collections and status of accounts, and receives payments and posts them to appropriate accounts.  Performs any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data.

This position is a full-time position Monday thru Friday. Benefits available with 401K plan eligibility.

Prior experience and current knowledge of Home Health guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid and private payors required.

Requirements High School diploma or GED, some college coursework or associates degree in accounting preferred.  Two years billing experience in a healthcare environment with an emphasis on submission, reimbursement and collections. A plus to have some demonstrated knowledge of Medicare &  Medicaid Regulations and experience with insurance verification and authorization.
 Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
