NewLink Genetics Corp. a biopharmaceutical company in Ames Iowa, developing novel drugs with the primary focus on cancer. NewLink Genetics primary focus is to take novel treatments and diagnostics through the clinical trials process and bringing products to market.

Responsibilities include planning and budgeting of Phase I-III manufacturing operations. Main focus to lead the Process Development for cell culture optimization and scale-up. Overseeing purchasing and inventory of raw materials, production, and packaging. Coordinate manufacturing activities with the Quality department. Supervising Training Program for all manufacturing personnel and inventory control personnel Manage department performance and personnel development. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned.

Post Doc in Cellular Immunology

We seek an outstanding individual to perform the development of immunologic assays to conduct the immuno-monitoring in patients enrolled in NewLink’s Clinical Trials. The individual should be motivated and enthusiastic, have a background in cellular immunology and be proficient in culturing human lymphocytes.

Applicants must possess knowledge in immunologic techniques and have hands on experience in flow cytometry, tissue culture and ELISA. The successful candidate will work with a multidiscipline scientific team providing analytical expertise in support of this company's Tumor Immunology program. Will identify appropriate technique(s) and develop methods necessary for the characterization and quantification of the immune reactions induced by current experimental vaccines. Superior problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to independently manage projects within a team environment are required.

Requirements for Director of Manufacturing:  A minimum of a B.S., M.S., Ph.D./Pharm.D. in Biology, Pharmacy or related scientific discipline.Must have experience in cGMP of cell based therapeutic products

Requirements for Post Doc in Cellular Immunology: PhD/MD in immunology with a strong emphasis in cellular immunology.
