Deputy Director of Business Services

The Fresno County Workforce Investment Board, a business-led legislative body appointed by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors to help businesses meet their workforce needs by providing outplacement, recruiting, and training services, has an opening for a Deputy Director of Business Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to support business programs and services that drive business success. Will work with the Assistant Director to implement and support the business services model, including overseeing the Business Services Center and related Workforce programs in the Valley.

The successful candidate will be an experienced business manager, have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, or two year degree coupled with equivalent business management experience. Must have proven experience in driving initiatives that drive business success, advocating for administrative and policy changes, and possess ability to convene key contacts to build consensus. Must also have program implementation background and comprehensive knowledge of business and economic development. Must have exceptional analytical, oral, and written communication skills as well as organizational and time management skills in order to work effectively under pressure.
