IT Business Analyst

Description This is a contract engagement through December 2010 with our client in downtown Louisville. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for for collecting, documenting, analyzing, verifying and communicating requirements for approved IT projects to the business experts and project team members. 
Responsibilities will include:
"  Demonstrates a high level of working knowledge with IS methodologies and processes (i.e. Project Life Cycle, System Development Life Cycle and IS Change Management process).
"  Gathers detailed requirements that completely define the project; distributes RFPs & evaluates responses.
"  Creates high-level models and user prototype interfaces to identify and validate business processes and solutions when appropriate.
"  Communicate requirements with minimal direction and guidance.  Acts as the liaison between the business experts and the project team members. 
"  Facilitates business/functional requirement review, approval, and sign-off sessions.
"  Participates in technical requirements and design sessions.
"  Conducts and directs end-user testing responsibilities and tasks with minimal guidance from consultant staff, manager or project managers.
"  Interfaces with members of the installation team, technology and user support groups, vendors, and vendor management under the direction of the department or project manager.

Requirements

"  Bachelor's degree in related field or other equivalent degree preferred.
"  Minimum 7 years business analyst experience in an I/S Development setting
"  Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
