Description

Accounting Now, Inc is currently exclusively recruiting for a large educational institution for On-Line Financial Aid Representatives.  The duties of the position includes:

  • Heavy outbound calls to potential students regarding their financial aid option         Providing a high level of customer service to students assisting them in the explanation of their education funding

  • Assists students in the completion of all financial aid documents required to fund their education.
  • Follows-up with students and collects documents required to receive assistance.
  • Maintain compliance with financial aid regulations.
  • Evaluates student’s eligibility for federal aid.
  • Awards federal aid to the student.
  • Assists with financial aid file maintenance.
  • Reports daily/weekly numbers to supervisors to track progress of student packaging.
  • Works with the Admissions Department to identify student’s needs.

Requirements Requirements for the position include:

 

  • Prior experience in Financial Aid preferred
  • Experience in a regulated business/industry is highly preferred
  • Excel and Word application
  • Knowledge of all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements relating to financial aid.
  • Ability to apply and adapt policies and procedures to achieve goals.
  • Skills to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • High School degree or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Must be flexible to work at least two evenings a week and rotating weekends.
