Description
Position offered for overall mechanical systems level design for OEM military aviation power and pre-conditioned air ground support equipment.
Must understand configuration control, specification and source control drawings, design flow down, key characteristics, vendor management, etc. Candidate must be cognizant of all ISO Quality systems -operating and engineering procedures. Experience with writing procedures and AS9100 a plus.
Must be forward thinking, use a proactive design approach, and think outside the box when challenged.
Requirements
Requires accredited four-year BS Engineering degree, Masters Degree or Professional Registration (PE) a plus.
Requires 5-10 years of systems level mechanical engineering experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in designing for manufacturing. Individual must have a solid knowledge of machine design of industrial equipment, hydraulics, heat transfer analysis, electronics packaging, materials, weldments, and structural analysis, rotating equipment-mechanical and electrical, filtration, line sizing, valve design, instrumentation and controls experience. Portable/Mobile HVAC design is a plus with experience emphasizing: HVAC load modeling, heat exchange design and analysis, compressor sizing and specification and refrigeration system simulation. Successful candidate must demonstrate and elaborate on details of previous design responsibility with these skills.
Must possess MS Office products (Excel, Project, Power Point, etc...) experience.
IT IS ESSENTIAL to have CAD skills in SolidWorks or Pro-Engineer. Skills in AutoCAD or another 2D drafting program are a plus.
