SQL Server (2005 / 2008) Database Developer

Redmond, WA 98052

 

*** Needed a developer with both strong SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) and Transact (T-SQL) skills who is able to show as much passion towards supporting existing tools and new development projects.

*** The majority of the responsibilities/time for this position will be on building new SSRS reports and modification of existing reports.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

*** Looking for a SQL Database developer

*** Will be responsible for developing and delivering quality database code and engineering artifacts

*** Should be proficient in engineering high volume, mission critical OLTP systems

*** Expert knowledge in what it takes to tune and optimize 500+ GB relational databases

*** Will be keeping track of the features and bug fixes being deployed & will also participate in triage meetings

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

*** Must have hands-on experience in development tools, methodologies and also candidate should be adept at working cross-group with other dev, PM and test teams, as our development projects are often coordinated with other teams around the world

*** Write T-SQL Code, Stored procedures, SSIS packages

*** Extensive experience in SQL Performance tuning, and troubleshooting SQL Performance issues and fixing them

*** Good knowledge about developing database solution with SSB (SQL Service Broker) is DESIRED

*** Efficient in SQL Performance tuning

*** Create engineering artifacts (HLD, DLD) for assigned tasks.

*** Understand the existing systems, while analyzing upstream, downstream system impacts
