Default Servicing Specialist

plumRHINO Consulting has a long term contract opportunity for a Default Servicing Specialist in McLean, VA.  The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of mortgage and/or finance industry experience specifically 2 + years of in-depth Default, NPL, Loss Mitigation or Loan Servicing processes or collections.

Responsibilities:

• Work with multiple servicers that have delinquencies or collateral deals, in clearing of reporting exceptions/variances, work with servicer team to ensure all controls are met and risks migrated
• Monitor servicer default, foreclosure sales and collateral deals data reporting
• Responsible for monitoring exception reports, contact servicers concerning their edits, exceptions variances, provide solutions to improve their reporting performance and perform basic analysis and reporting functions to support the baseline processes

• Strong knowledge default servicing and data experience
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
• Mortgage default experience preferred
• Excellent written, analytical, negotiation and communication skills required
