Position Purpose:

Maintains existing proprietary software and web application using a combination of technologies

Increases computing efficiency resulting in a friendly user experience at a minimum of CST resources.

Implements next generation web application using ASP.NET and AJAX frameworks

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with domain experts to translate business requirements into high quality working software.
• Add new scalable features and functions for a large number of concurrent users
• Maintain existing code base in ASP.NET, ASP, .NET services, VB6 client applications
• Develop new features in ASP.NET and AJAX
• Assist in special projects as needed

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience working with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience developing applications in C#
• Experience developing ASP.NET applications
• Experience working with SQL Server 2005/2008 (T-SQL)
• Experience working with SOAP/Web Services
• Experience working with Classic ASP and/or Visual Basic 6.0
• Research and application of new technologies and development tools

Other valued skills include:

• Development experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
• TDD (Test Driven Development)
• DDD (Domain Driven Design)
• Experience with AJAX frameworks: ASP.NET AJAX, jQuery, ExtJS
• Experience with server side web frameworks
• Familiarity with object-relational mapping concepts and frameworks (such as nHibernate)
• Experience working in a team environment
• Actively pursues knowledge growth in web technologies
• Working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) business environment

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Experience in web development using above technologies
• Minimum 2 year degree in computer science. 
• Four-year degree preferred

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Sits at a desk for long periods of time
