Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, a growing health care law firm located in Indianapolis, Indiana seeks a friendly, energetic, experienced Paralegal to work on medical malpractice and long term care.   Our ideal candidate should be organized, dependable, detail-oriented and have a professional appearance and demeanor.  Must have strong writing and analytical skills and the ability to handle a high volume caseload and prioritize multiple tasks. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to function in an extremely fast-paced and continuously changing environment.  Day-to-day litigation duties include:  file management; interaction with clients; witness interviews; medical and nursing record review and organization; document management; preliminary legal research; drafting pleadings; and, trial support including logistical and technological support.

Requirements A minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal in a law office, preferably with experience in litigation medical malpractice and/or long term care.  A Paralegal Degree or Paralegal Certificate is required; RP or CP certification or college degree preferred.  Superior communication skills are a must. Competencies include multi-tasking, adaptability, ability to work with attorneys in developing case strategies and teamwork.  Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook are required, as well as working knowledge of trial management software.  Experience using Summation a plus.
