Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Job Location: San Diego, CA
Type of Work: 3-month contract; ends Jan 31, 2010

JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work effectively with members of the worldwide Hardware Applications Engineering team, design team, and technical publications team to learn and document important system and detailed design information.
Experience working with ARM SoC architectures
Use Mentor Graphics to create reference schematics, Microsoft Word and/or Frame-maker to create chipset documentation, Microsoft Power Point to create training material, and Microsoft Excel to create or manipulate spreadsheets.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of hardware issues utilizing lab equipment like base-station simulators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, soldering equipment, etc.
Must have the ability to effectively develop and present technical training material.
Familiarity with peripheral interfaces such as I2S, I2C, USB, SIM, SDCC, UART, GPIOs and memories like FLASH & SDRAM is a big plus.
Familiarity with Power Management and RF functionality also a plus.

Requirements

Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
