Communications is seeking a talented individual to install and configure complex IVR and database environments.
Hands-on support of a complex networked telecommunications environment, problem determination, and troubleshooting.
Secondary duties include, but are not limited to, customer interface and product development support.
Communicate customer feedback to marketing and sales for future product improvement and applications.
Provide 1st tier support for customer issues.
Works under general supervision.
24 X 7 pager coverage is required.
Some travel required.
Must be a flexible team member who can adjust easily to changing priorities and demands.
Skills:
Experience with Directory Assistance and Voice Technology products.
XML and Java experience.
Sound knowledge of networking, VXML applications, and Telco switch applications.
Knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and Windows Server 2003 operating systems.
WAN and LAN experience.
Experience in telecomm protocols (such as SIP, SS7, ISDN PRI/BRI, Analog).
Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
Web server knowledge, Microsoft IIS, and Apache Tomcat preferred.
Hardware support acumen, IBM preferred.
Responsive to customer support issues and ability to maintain a full service relationship
BS Computer Engineering, BS Computer Science, or BS Telecommunications Engineering.
5+ years of telecommunications experience in a customer-interactive technical position.
5+ years internet/telecommunications system development/support experience.
Help Desk / Call Management experience is very desirable.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
