Description
Supports Manufacturing and Materials by planning, completing ERP system transactions necessary in a timely fashion to facilitate requirements necessary to meet customer contractual ships dates by performing the following duties.
Using the ERP system with Management Direction: Enters, schedules and releases jobs to support on time delivery of customers orders to meet the Contract Delivery Schedule.
Maintains, monitors and/or administers WIP transactions in the system related to: WIP tracking, Job splitting, batching, Inventory or job to job transfers of material and any others necessary as the need arises.
Works closely with Production Control and Materials Managers to properly coordinate the entry of jobs and or job splitting in sync with material ordering and deliveries.
Using the ERP system: Assists in “real time" Monitoring (watch dog) of job related costs to help ensure appropriate steps are taken to avoid cost over run before the job is complete.
Assists in the training of personnel in the correct use of ERP functions with respect to their area of responsibility.
Interface between Finance, Program Management (PMO), and the Executive Staff by extracting, reporting, and administrating project data from Vantage ensuring that new and existing programs have quoted and estimated budgets.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Degree or Equivalent. One year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Prefer some ability and knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and production control. Must have experience with ERP or has the strong ability to learn, as well as have advanced clerical skills in word processing, excel spreadsheets, computer records, and other office maintenance skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong professional interpersonal communication skills that are effective dealing with other employees, superiors, subordinates, suppliers and customers.
REASONING ABILITY: Must be a logical thinker with a strong ability to multi task, as well as be flexible relative to job duties. Must be able to understand, consider and balance the requirements of the Production and Materials departments. Must have strong analytical and decision making abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, climb stairs carrying equipment and/or material. Ability to lift, move, and/or carry up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal manufacturing and/or office environment with changes occurring on a regular basis.
