Description Responsibilities:  As part of the HSSE team this role will provide project support to capital improvement projects.  This position reports directly to the onsite HSE Manager but is a direct support role for the Project Management team.  The chosen candidate will be responsible for being the HSSE liaison between the Project Manager and third party contractor and aid the Project Manager by providing guidance and assurance that applicable HSSE programs and policies are met.

The chosen candidate must have strong construction safety experience and be willing and able to draw upon that experience to mentor current HSSE team members.  This position also requires the ability to review construction drawing packages to identify potential safety-related issues.  Occasionally, the candidate may be requested to support other HSSE team members with various aspects of HSSE tasks including: participating in safety committees, safety program development and auditing, training, and safety metrics analysis.
Requirements Requirements:  Minimum 5 years of full time experience as an HSE professional.  Preferably at least 3 years of this experience in Construction.  Excellent verbal and written communication and team-building skills are a must.  Good computer skills are necessary (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, etc.)  Good creative writing skills utilizing Word and other similar software.  Ability to develop presentations in PowerPoint.  Must be able to conduct routine HSE activities such as audits, investigations, training and report preparation.  Strong knowledge of 29CFR 1910 & 29CFR 1926 is necessary.  BS/BA in Occupational Health & Safety is desired, but not mandatory. Appropriate professional certification desirable.
