Recreation Services Assistant

Amberwood Gardens is a 258-bed skilled nursing and sub acute facility that offers
comprehensive rehabilitation programs. We are currently seeking an energetic and outgoing Recreation Services Assistant. 

Job duties include:

·         Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner

·         Complete required documentation

·         Attend and contribute to Recreation Services Department meetings

·         Provide individual programming as assigned

·         Maintain recreation department supplies and equipment

·         Work with volunteers as assigned by Recreation Services Director

·         Assist with planning and leadership of special events

·         Adhere to universal precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures

·         High School graduate or equivalent with knowledge of the practical application of recreation service programs

·        Activities Certificate Required 
Previous experience in Recreation Services required

·         Must have ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job

·         Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates

·         Must maintain regular attendance

·         Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam

·         Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
