Description Under the administrative and technical supervision of a physician, performs medical examinations, selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and other special procedures to assist in the delivery of primary and/or specialty medical services to patients.

Edu:
Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor of Science including six (6) to twelve (12) months of clinical internship.

Edu:
Master of Science preferred.

Exper:
At least three years of clinical working experience as a P.A. Cardio Thoracic Surgery highly desired, in order to exercise independent judgement to monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions

Exper:
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, family members and the health care team.

Lic/Cert:
Current licensure to practice as a Physician''s Assistant in the State of Michigan.

Lic/Cert:
Certification from the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.

Lic/Cert:
Current BLS and ACLS certification.

Skill:
Analytical ability to monitor data, develop treatment plans and prescribe medication.
