This is a golden opportunity for an experienced HVAC Service Manager to join a highly successful HVAC firm which even in the economy of 2009 is doing well and participate in strategikc planning fo development a larger service department and business. Looking for the manager who has both a strong HVAC technical knowledge background and an above average people management success story. Will enter the organization with responsibilities for all service work, generally no new installations(new installs far to 3 or 4 other dept managers), and will have several supervisors and a staff of about 50 reporting directly or through supervisors. This opportunity offers not only an outstanding opportunity today but requires a manager who can grow the service division within the organization and is not opposed to relocation within the state of Florida.

As Service Manager you will have responsibilities for improving, coordinating and maintaining various aspects of all field service operations along with office support staff.
You will have responsibilities ranging from development of strategic business plans and strategies to budget development and management to planning/scheduling work and insure work is completed on schedule, customer relations and seeing that proper training is scheduled for personnel. There has been and continues to be a focus on creating a safe work environment and continue to see that their personnel are highly trained.
Relative to teamwork; personnel are good, qualified human beings who just need proper management and training to deal with changes. A list of some specifics would include but not limited to:
*Personnel evaluation, hiring, discipline, termination and schedule to ensure effective production.
*Develop strategic growth plans and procedures
* Prepares reports for General Manager.
*Evaluate work load and schedules service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
*Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
*Review pay records to ensure personnel are paid property.
*Evaluate staff to determine training requirements. Provide training as needed.
*Observe and ensure safety and company rules and regulations are followed.
*Other duties as assigned.
Company has been in business for many years and has had substantial growth. They have an excellent reputation in West Florida. This area has done a great deal of building in the last 20 years and there is lots of service work, much more available to an assertive service department manager. Their reputation for high quality of work makes them the contractor of choice in the region. Company will provide relocation assistance.
Western Florida is generally regarded as the best living area in Florida when you consider the weather and general living conditions. Of course, FL has no state income tax. The area is a beautiful area and the climate is wonderful year round with the gulf coast breezes. Good school systems and low crime rate. This is not close to the Miami nor Southeast FL area. Simply a great place to live and work.

SALARY: $75,000 to $94,000 plus annual bonus to 20%
REQUIREMENTS:
12 or more years HVAC experience for light commercial and/or residential HVAC.
7+ years HVAC service manager experience & at least 3 recent years with a staff larger than 25.
A professional manager who is open to change.
Not more than 2 jobs in last 8 years.
Solid technical HVAC service background.
Must be able to describe what plans and methods were developed to successfully grow prior service business.
Must be U S citizen or permanent resident.
Requirements
