    Work Control Planner

All work is concerning the Decontamination and Decomissioning (D&D) of hazardous facilities, which shall include:

  • Ensure planned activities are in compliance with Authorization Basis documents.
  • Locate and review drawings and other historic documentation.
  • Walk down work sites and document existing conditions.
  • Determine risk and complexity of tasks.
  • Develop planning and engineering controls.
  • Plan and conduct Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Prepare work control documents.
  • Identify potential risks and impacts to schedule and cost. 
  • Interface with field supervision, safety and health, radiological controls, characterization, environmental, and waste management personnel.
  • Provide technical support to field supervision during execution of work control documents.
  • Prepare subcontract documents, including scopes of work, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Direct field activities in the execution of work control documents.
  • Wage commensurate with education and experience level.

Requirements

Ideal applicant:


  • Minimum of 10 years of work control planning experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in DOE environment providing engineering support in the operations and/or decomissioning of nuclear and/or beryllium facilities.
  • Hanford Site experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills-written, verbal, and listening. 
  • Must be able to obtain an unescorted badge for nuclear plant, must pass background and drug test.
  • Must have US Citizenship.
